On June 24, CALB and Huadian Hubei signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Wuhan. As a critical component of China’s “Dual-Carbon” strategy, the Electric Yangtze Project focuses on replacing traditional fossil fuel-powered vessels with clean energy solutions to mitigate pollution in inland waterway transportation. Under this partnership, both parties will pool their strengths to jointly develop full-scene applications for green shipping, intelligent ports, and related initiatives. The cooperation aims to achieve end-to-end decarbonization across the “power-vessel-port” ecosystem, establishing the Yangtze River as a global benchmark for zero-emission inland shipping. Meanwhile, it will be a model for sustainable development along the Yangtze Economic Belt.
