World's First Public Flight – CALB Powers XPeng Aeroht's Flying Car at Zhuhai Airshow

On November 12th, CALB's advanced battery technology powered XPeng Aeroht's split-configuration flying car, nicknamed the "Land Aircraft Carrier," in its world's first public flight demonstration at the Zhuhai Airshow.
Developed by CALB specifically for low-altitude aviation, the battery cells achieve a 300Wh/kg energy density and support 6C fast charging. These cells previously enabled the successful maiden flight of the XPeng Aeroht X3 prototype on October 24, 2022, representing the highest energy density among installed flight-specific batteries at the time. In prior XPeng testing, the battery pack, without any additional protective casing, was dropped from a height of 15.2 meters and exhibited no signs of smoke or fire after 24 hours.
